Installation

A Bridon engineer will always be on site to supervise installation of the ropes and to carry out tensioning. Therefore, detailed instructions on the installation procedure are not given here.

Bridon NZ will provide a reel stand for running out the reels of Brifen rope, and any other tools and tensioning equipment required. All the contractor needs to provide is a truck or ute/trailer for carrying the reel stand, plus 2 or 3 men to work with the Bridon engineer.

Typically, a team of this size can install and tension all 4 ropes to complete approx. 1 km of finished Brifen barrier per day. This rate of installation can be doubled, if required, by using 2 reel stands and 2 teams.
